He received from the University of Missouri a BA in Speech and Drama in 1964 and an MA in 1968.
For more than 20 years he was employed by the City of Columbia Police Service Department. His responsibilities were doing maintenance of equipment and firing range. He was well known for his target designs and computer skills.
Bynum always had a ‘project’. He was an avid reader, selective tv and radio addict. His most serious interest was freedom, which led him to the Libertarian Party. He was one of the co-founders of the Boone County, Columbia and University chapters. He participated, busily organizing meetings, making badges, cards and agendas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother.
