Richard H. Bowles

U.S. Veteran

Richard H. Bowles, 55, of Columbia, passed away on February 14, 2013. Memorial services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Parker Funeral Service. Richard was born September 7, 1957 in Perryton, Texas to Richard W. and Juanita Faye Woods Bowles and they survive. He was married to Nancy Richardson on May 2, 1992 in Denver, Colorado and she survives. Richard was a 1975 graduate of New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, New Mexico. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy. Richard graduated from Southwest Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business Administration and later received a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Webster University, St. Louis. Richard was raised in Oklahoma and loved OU football but he later came to love the Mizzou Tigers. Richard worked as President of Gaen Health Care Advisors and had previously served on numerous advisory boards including State of Missouri Governors Health Care Advisory Board and as Past President of Oklahoma Disability Examiners Association. He also had served as a Stephen Minister in Denver, Colorado. Survivors also include sisters, Ronda (Lionel) Rotelli of Conroe, Texas and Ruth Bowles of Chicago, Illinois along with nephew Alex Negelein also of Chicago. Memorial contributions may be made to Praying Pelican Missions in care of Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. Tenth St., Columbia, Missouri 65201.
