William F. Kemp

William Floyd Kemp, 57 of Columbia passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Dripping Springs Christian Church. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am, Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Dripping Springs Cemetery. William was born December 28, 1955 in Mexico, MO to Floyd Thomas and Ruby Pauline Jenkins Kemp. He married Marvetta (Maggie) Hunt on June 27, 1981 in Mexico, MO and she survives. William graduated from Community R-6 High School. He worked for University of Missouri Hospital for 15 years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include: his father of Jefferson City, MO; his wife of Columbia; a step-daughter, Mattie April Miller of New Franklin, MO; two brothers, David W. Kemp of Mexico, MO and Jerry Lee Kemp of Davis, OK; a sister, Nora S. Kemp McCann of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jaimie L. Schafer, Rebecca Barnes, Michael E. Lewis and Weslie K. McWilliams and two great-grandchildren.
