Brian Daniel Kohl

Brian Daniel Kohl, 38, of Columbia, left his earthly body Saturday, November 24, 2012, while camping in his beloved woods of northern Boone County.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Willie's / The FieldHouse, 1109 E Broadway, Columbia MO, at 2pm, Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Brian was born March 18, 1974, in Jefferson City, MO, to Daniel Kohl and Debbie Kohl. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1992 and attended SouthWest Missouri State University and Lincoln University. He then traveled and experienced the freedom of the open road for a few years. He took a job at Willie's Pub and Pool in 1996, working his way up from line cook to manager, where he remained employed until his death. He married Sarah Wells February 9, 2001, and together they brought two sons into the world, Dakota Chase Kohl and Sage Ansel Marley Kohl.

Brian was an artist, a photographer, an outdoorsman, an angler, and an inspiration to many. He and Sarah were best friends and true soul mates. He was a dedicated, hands-on, playful, loving father, teacher, and husband. The only thing that eclipsed the love that he had for his family and friends is the love that they have for him.

Survivors include Sarah, wife, Dakota and Sage, sons, all of the home, Daniel Kohl, father, Debbie Kohl, mother, Broc Kohl, brother, Roy Ridenhour, grandfather, all of Jefferson City, Annabelle Kohl, grandmother, of Fenton, Missouri, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Brian Kohl Family Relief Fund at Providence Bank, 1(888)206-2730.
