Edwin Eugene Carstens, 86 of Boonville passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 am, Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, MO.

Edwin was born January 12, 1926 in Maryville, MO to Harry C. and Alice C. Obannion Carstens. He married Evelyn Marie Cawley on January 23, 1977 and she survives.

Edwin graduated from high school in Nebraska City, NE. He served with the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He worked in the building materials industry and watch making.

He was a current member of the VFW and a past member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks, American Legion and the Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn and a number of nieces and nephews.
