Dr. Robert W. Allen, 84, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on September 19, 2012.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Dr. Allen was born November 14, 1927 in New Britain, Connecticut to Charles and Hilma Lundgren Allen. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was married to Gladys Bronstein on January 5, 1957 in Richmond, Virginia.

Gladys survives along with their children, Phil Allen, Mark Allen and Sarah Allen all of northern California.

Dr. Allen was an accomplished artist, avid sailor, and &#*! golfer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Missouri Food Bank or Central Missouri Humane Society.
